Just two hours out of Brisbane, near Murwillumba and adjoining three National Parks, this beautiful retreat is a perfect haven to experience the calming effect of nature and have some time out. Set in old-growth rainforest you will find yourself amongst four hundred year old trees, strangler figs curling and winding their way to the top canopy, groves of ferns and mosses and a proliferation of wildlife and birdlife.

There are four rainforest trails to explore on the property and one takes you to a couple of hammocks strung across the enchantingly named Crystal Creek, the perfect place to relax.

Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat lies at the end of a quiet valley. A lovely hidden gem tucked away in the forest. It is a luxury romantic retreat, which is exclusively for couples (or singles) allowing for total privacy as you stay in a “private residence” secluded in the rainforest.

Your hosts, Mark and Bronny’s evident attention to detail really defines this retreat. Discovering on arrival a romantic table setting with an array of tea candles is a delight. Your double spa bath scented with lemon myrtle adds to an atmosphere of relaxation and bliss to create the perfect ambience, while the i-pod docking station gives you the freedom to indulge in the pleasures of music and soaking.

The dining experience comes complete with gourmet meals, cooked fresh for you on the day which is quietly placed in your fridge in the afternoon, allowing you to choose when you want to eat, requiring just a five minute reheat.
